We really like this park, been going for a few years. Moms are always nice to talk to & its fun. The water pad is dangerous though. I have seen many children fall & get really hurt. Protective shoes or not this is slippery & when they hit the pavement they usually smack there heads faces or knees. Its scary. I think this is a serious issue & they should look into making it padded. They have ones that are much safer out West. Kids run you can’t make them tip toe through sprinklers. Please someone from the town speak up & make a change for the better at this delighful idea. A padded safe place for our children to play safely & enjoy a free water park & cool off in a hot day!
Goodness. That does seem like a huge issue. You’re right that it’s hard to keep little kids from running. I’m sure there are other residents who feel the same way. It might be worth writing a letter to the town’s Parks & Rec department. They may not know how serious of an issue this is. I am sure they want the spray pad to be safe too. Thanks so much for bringing this issue to our attention. Hopefully your warning will help other moms to be prepared to really supervise their children closely if they choose to visit the spray pad with them.
