So, normally I would be posting today about our latest holiday outing. My plan was for us to get our Christmas tree this weekend and to give you an inside scoop on where we went. Unfortunately, sickness got in the way. Little Sparkles got a nasty cold and was down for the count the whole weekend. So, no Christmas tree for us and no post for the blog!
I didn’t want to skip my post all together because there are so many great things happening this time of year. So, instead of me giving you the details on a holiday happening, I thought I would give you a brief tour of fun holiday events that some of our favorite Connecticut bloggers have been writing about.
Two local bloggers did posts on their family Christmas tree outings. Julie at A Year with Mom and Dad went to Konefal Farm in Middlefield, CT. Cut your own trees at this destination are a bargain at $25. (photo credit www.jonesfamilyfarms.com)
You can also check out the post from Carissa at Buy Locally CT on her family’s visit to Jones Tree Farm in Shelton, CT. Their trees are a bit more pricey at $63, but they do come with a cute little ornament.
And if you are looking for more cut your own tree options, check out Connecticut Mommy Poppins lists for Hartford County and Fairfield County.
