It had been over a year since we last took Boo to see the model train layouts at Time Machine Hobby in Manchester, so a few weekends ago we decided to go for another visit. The store always has some pretty neat model train sets that you can see anytime you go in, but every first and third Sunday of the month (click here for their schedule), they open the GIANT train layout in the back room, which is roughly the size of the whole store itself! This is a great, FREE activity (that is, if you can resist the urge to start your own train set and don’t end up buying a bunch of equipment to take home). Just a word of advice: get there early. The small parking lot fills up fast! Oh, and be prepared for a lot of stairs 🙂
Here are a few pics from our recent trip. (You can read my full post on this event here.)
I never get tired of seeing all those miniatures. So neat! A great outing for the young and the young at heart.
Enjoy!
