This year for Mother’s Day, hubby and Boo surprised me with a fancy-ish brunch at The Adams Mill in Manchester, CT. Throughout the past seven years that we’ve lived in CT, I’d heard so much about this restaurant fashioned in an old paper mill building, that I was always dropping hints about wanting to try it out. Not subtle hints either 🙂
Every Sunday they have a whopper of a brunch buffet which runs the gamut from made-to-order omelettes, bacon, homefries, and Belgian waffles to baked salmon, roast pork, and potatoes au gratin–not to mention the carving station, salad bar, and dessert buffet. (Sorry guys, this was my day “off” so no blog photos of all the wonderful food–I’ll just have to go back again 🙂 ) And believe it or not, we found it to be pretty family-friendly (high chairs, crayons, kids under 3 eat free) and nicely priced, considering all the food and beverage options (even includes a cocktail for the adults, which of course I sadly had to pass up this time–another reason to go back!).
Unfortunately, Boo was not in a photogenic mood post-brunch. But we did manage to get one pic outside the restaurant where he isn’t screaming at us.
Actually, we got two. But the backdrop isn’t quite as nice in this one. That’s the last time I leave the artistic direction up to hubby 🙂
Of course, you can’t beat that smile 🙂
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother’s Day!

Happy belated Mother’s Day!
I have been to several Murder Mystery Dinners at Adam’s Mill along with countless free birthday dinners, random lunches, and nights out with my husband. Such a beautiful building. I love the My Wife’s Favorite – it has like steak tips, shrimp, caesar salad, and veggies I think.

Thanks, Ctaci! And a happy belated Mother’s Day to you too 🙂
Sounds like maybe next time I should try Adams Mill for date night. I’m already craving “My Wife’s Favorite.” What an appropriate name! 🙂
