I know I’ve been mostly MIA over the past several weeks (okay, okay, completely MIA 🙂 ), and if you have been following our blog you may know that’s because I welcomed my newest family member, a beautiful baby boy, at the end of July. And because I have the absolute best blogging partner a girl could ever ask for, I have been able to focus all my time on bonding with my expanded family–and trying to catch an hour or two of sleep here and there–while Mandy has been keeping everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING, going here at OAAM. Isn’t she the greatest? 🙂
This week, I thought I’d dip my toe back in the blogging waters just to see how I’d do. I can’t promise that I won’t fall off the face of the blogosphere a few more times in the coming weeks (maybe months–sorry, Mandy!), but today I managed to get both kiddos napping at the same time, so here goes nothing!
This week for our Throwback Thursdays series, I wanted to reintroduce you to one of my favorite places to spend a beautiful summer afternoon: Jessica’s Garden in Marlborough, CT. This combination garden center and unique eatery (hello, lobster rolls!) is the perfect destination for a relaxing family outing. The outdoor venue boasts tons of laid-back al fresco seating (think picnic tables and patio sets), a lobster and ice cream shack (serving much more than just lobster though), a beautiful pond to stroll around, and lots of interesting nooks and crannies to explore. And you can also pick up some plants or order some mulch–multitasking at its best!

I first wrote about this charming hideaway when we started this blog two years ago (it was one of my first posts!), and I’m excited to reintroduce it to our readers.
