We take a lot of pictures around here at OAAM (as if you haven’t noticed). And all those photos might get kinda boring to look at, not to mention edit, if it weren’t for this fabulous little website called PicMonkey. Maybe you’ve heard of it?
PicMonkey is an online photo editing site with tons of both FREE editing features and premium (i.e. paid) editing features that can take your humdrum everyday photos and make them look like this:
You can turn bunches of individual photos into spiffy collages (we use that trick all the time on the blog). Plus add overlays, cute borders, text in dozens of fonts. And of course, you can also crop, resize, and touch-up (got a blemish? cover it up! forget to wear lipstick? no problem!). Just for fun, I tried out a few of the subtle retouching features (blemish fix, shine reduction, teeth whitening, blush boost, lip tint, etc.) for this post. What do you think? Do I look a little less like an exhausted mom of a four-month-old? 🙂
The site is especially fun to use during holidays (Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Fourth of July–any holiday!) because they add special themed features. Look at these cute pics that Mandy put together.
But the best part about PicMonkey, is that it lets you have fun and be creative with all those photos you have hanging out on your camera that you don’t know what to do with.
Now don’t you just want to grab a photo and start editing? Careful. It’s addictive 🙂
