2014 POST
Thank you to Launch Trampoline Park for providing my family with complimentary admission to the Toddler Time session. All opinions are 100% my own.
Cut to the chase. Take me to the Momsense.
Last month, me and my mini crew (plus my husband and a few friends) had a chance to check out the newest trampoline park in our area, Launch Trampoline Park located in Hartford, Connecticut.
I had recently heard about this new venue and that they were offering a Toddler Time on Friday mornings. Launch’s program offered an opportunity for kids ages five and under to check out the park on Friday’s from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm. The program cost $10 (plus tax) per child and an adult can jump for FREE with each paying little one.
I figured this would be a great time for the kids to get all their energy out before the holiday break and a chance to check out the trampoline park at a time when only little ones would be jumping.
As usual, I brought along my three fabulous sidekicks.
Just in case you are wondering about ages, the twins (Bruiser and Sparkles) turn 3 in January and Sweetheart is 17 months.
The park is located rather conveniently right off interstate 91. Parking was easy, plentiful and FREE.
We went inside and were greeted by a huge complex. The place is over 15,000 square feet in size! The entrance area includes the check-in, an arcade and a cafe.
The first step of the check-in process is to fill out a waiver. There are computers available to complete the form or you can fill out the waiver online before you arrive. At Launch, the waiver is good for one year.
After filling out the waiver, we headed over to the check-in desk for the next step, checking in 🙂 Launch was kind enough to provide us with complimentary admission for our review, but on a normal day, here is where I would have paid for my three munchkins. The cost per child is $10 (plus tax) and since we had three kids jumping, my husband and I would have been FREE. They did check to make sure we had completed our waiver and the kids received wristbands to wear.
Before we headed to the trampolines, I took a look at the rules. It wasn’t a surprise that there were a lot of them.
You might have noticed that one of the signs said that all jumpers must wear socks. So make sure your kiddos come prepared. If you forget, socks are available for sale.
There are storage areas for shoes and all their other accessories (especially all their winter gear). There are lockers near the front with locks available for rent and there are cubbies near the trampoline area at the top of the ramp.
As soon as the kids saw the trampolines, I couldn’t contain them. Off with their shoes and into the trampoline area they went. Time to jump!
The trampoline area is divided up into separate sections. There is a full list on their website, but I saw a main court, dodge ball court, basketball court, kids area and a foam pit area.
Here are a few pictures so you can get an understanding of the layout.
The nice thing is that if you are visiting with a baby and an older child, you can bring the baby in in their stroller and keep an eye on your older child while they jump (as my adorable friends below are demonstrating).
The section also contains an area that is designated for the smaller crowd. During normal jump times, this area is recommended for little kids, but they are free to jump in any of the sections.
While my kids were busy jumping with their Dad, I took a second to check out the cafe’s seating area and the restrooms.
The cafe seating area is located up a set of stairs. The nice thing about this area is that it provides and out of the way place to sit and take a break. When my kids are older, I could come up here and keep an eye on them (you have a view of the jumping areas below). Right now, though, it is the perfect spot for a snack, lunch, or a little time to rest.
The restrooms are located on the main level near the cafe and the women’s restroom did have a baby changing station in the last stall.
Speaking of the cafe, here are a few pictures of what it has to offer.
Before we were done for the morning, we had one more area of the trampoline park to check out, the foam pit. It was located out of view of the central jumping area, but it didn’t take long for my kids to discover this spot. They weren’t doing any high-flying acrobatic moves, but they did have fun jumping in. Just a word of caution that the pit is deep and we did have to help a few of the kids as they drifted off into a sea of foam blocks.
Probably not exactly what the designers had in mind . . .
This picture cracks me up. Do you think Sweetheart was done?
Well, after almost an hour and a half of being at the trampoline park, the kids were beat (yay!!)
Ahhhh. The sight of a worn out toddler. Fabulous.
Thank you to Launch Trampoline Park for providing my family with complimentary admission to the Toddler Time session. All opinions are 100% my own.

Tips and Things to Bring:
- Toddler time is for kids ages 5 and under (and the adults that are joining them to jump)
- For the toddler time, kids can jump anytime during the 10:30 am – 12:30 pm time slot. They also have use of any of the trampoline areas.
- A waiver is required to be completed before you come to jump. There are computers available there where you can complete the form or you can fill it out online before you arrive. The waiver is good for one year.
- There are several rules that need to be followed when enjoying the trampoline park. Get all the details here. Also, there are court monitors located throughout the park to ensure that the rules are being followed.
- Bring socks. They must be worn to jump.
- If you have items that you want stored while you jump, there are two options. Lockers are available at the front of the venue and locks are available for rent. A storage space is also available in the trampoline area.
- Food and drinks are available for sale in the cafe and an eating area is available in the upper level.
- The building is mostly stroller friendly. A ramp will lead you from the check-in area to the main jumping area. The only hitch is that there is a large staircase up to the cafe seating area and there are a few steps up to the foam pit jump area. If your group contains an infant, I would definitely recommend bringing them in a stroller.
- Restrooms (with a baby changing station in the women’s restroom) are available on the main level near the cafe.
