The Violet Tinker Photography is based in New Haven, Connecticut, but Chelsea will travel anywhere within Connecticut for the winner’s portrait session.  It can be used for a variety of styles including: family, maternity, and newborn sessions.  So whether you are expecting a new little one in the coming months or are ready to get a jump start on your holiday cards (Christmas IS only 18 weeks away.  Ha!) then enter this contest for your chance to win.  The winner will be chosen in one week on Monday, August 25, 2014.

Want to learn more about what a session would be like with The Violet Tinker Photography?  I asked Chelsea to describe her business and this is what she said:

My goal is to create beautiful pictures and have fun while doing it.  I remember going to the mall as a kid and going through what felt like torture so that my mom could have a few family portraits.  It was never fun for anyone, least of all my parents.  My goal is to reinvent this experience for my clients.  We go to the park, to the beach or even to your backyard.  We have fun. I play with your kids, everyone jokes and laughs and in the mean time, we sneak in some great pictures.  Not only will you end up with beautiful portraits pictures of your entire family, but you will get great candid shots.  These lifestyle images really show off the relationships in your family and the personality of your kids.

What will the winner receive?

  • (1) portrait session with Chelsea.
  • The session can be a family portrait session, a newborn session or a maternity session. The value of the session is $145.
  • The session can include the entire immediate family.
  • Family and maternity sessions typically last 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  • Newborn sessions last 1 to 2 hours to accommodate newborn care and temperament.
  • The winner will also receive a print package valued at $285 which includes:
    • (1) 11×14 canvas print
    • (2) 8×10 canvas prints
    • (3) wallet sized brag book
    • (10) full sized digital images
    • full set of watermarked digital images for sharing on social media
  • The session can take place anywhere in Connecticut.
  • The session must be booked by 11/1/2014 and take place prior to 11/2015.

  38. We’d do a long overdue family session. We recently moved up here and my entire family loves this state! Plus, it seems to have made my two little loves even closer. They are often holding hands and watching out for each other as they explore. They have rougher moments, too, but watching them take care of each other is heart-bursting.
