Hi readers! We know many of you are looking for fun things to do this weekend, so we wanted to let you know about a magical activity taking place at the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme.
Each year the museum puts on a beautiful event called the Wee Faerie Village where they take visitors on an enchanted journey. This year’s theme is A Flutter in Time: Faerie Villages Around the World & Across the Ages and this is the last weekend to see it!
Here is the description from their site:
Visitors explore over thirty hand-crafted, faerie-sized homes. All ages marvel at the detail and craftsmanship as they visit prehistoric caves, pyramids, ancient temples, medieval cottages, and Victorian mansions throughout the Museum’s 13-acre campus.
Also special this weekend, they are having their Wee Faerie Funderful Costume Party on Saturday, October 29th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm with a parade of the kids in their costumes starting at 11:30 am.
Here is the description from their site:
Halloween fun lasts all day with treats and hands-on crafts. Visitors are encouraged to dress up as faeries from around the world to march in our It’s a Small World After All costume parade that begins at 11:30am. Craft-filled prize bags for all participants.
