While Connecticut did just experience a massive snow storm, that doesn’t change the fact that spring officially arrives on Monday, March 20th and Easter will be here before we know it (April 16th).
We wanted to help you ignore the snow outside your door and start dreaming about sunny days, spring flowers, and packing up those snowsuits (we promise that will eventually happen!) so we put together our annual Easter activities roundup.
Below we have included nearly a dozen Easter activities happening in Connecticut over the next few weeks. Like most of our roundup posts, we’ve included only events taking place at destinations we’ve experienced first-hand. So be sure to check out the event details and visit the link to our destination post.
If you have a favorite Connecticut Easter event that wasn’t included on our list, let us know! Just leave a comment below.
Cheers to spring arriving soon!

Fortunately for our readers, they do! Their Easter Bunny Trolley event kicks off the weekend of April 8th and continues through the following weekend. Here are the event details from their website: “Families will ride a 100-year-old beautifully restored trolley to meet the Easter Bunny on his very own trolley car. Lyman Orchards
Spring Apple Hunt
32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield, Connecticut
April 22 (Rain date April 23)
Children ages 1-10
$6 per child
Purchase tickets in advance
This is a fun event for the whole family. In years past it was an Easter Apple Hunt and took place the week before Easter but last year they changed it to a Spring Apple Hunt and now hold the event after the Easter holiday. So it is no longer technically an Easter event but for so many families it is an Easter tradition and I like to keep it on our list. My favorite thing about the event is that the kids get to hunt for healthy apples instead of sugary sweets! Plan to come early or stay after your scheduled hunt time and enjoy some food from the Apple Barrel or one of the other vendors on site. Face painting, pony rides, and horse-drawn carriage rides are also available for an additional fee.
