Since many Connecticut schools have spring break next week, I thought it would be helpful to put together a quick post with some of our most popular outings.
While some of you might be heading out of town to a fantastic destination (enjoy!), I bet that many of you, like me, are sticking around for this school-free week, maybe planning some fun family outings or a day trip or two.
The good news is, the 10-day forecast is looking pretty awesome. (See that high of 78 for next Tuesday?! Woohoo!) So I’ve included plenty of ideas for outdoor fun.
If you’re looking for the perfect place for strolling, jogging or cycling, then check out our Trail Guide for more than a dozen destinations.
Need something a little more active for those energetic kiddos? Our Playground Guide has the best playscapes in more than 30 Connecticut towns! Why not use this extra time to venture a bit farther than your usual neighborhood park?
Speaking of parks, we’ve got some suggestions for those too! Check out 10 of our favorite parks to visit right now!
Just because school is out, doesn’t mean that learning needs to stop! We’ve got a list of some wonderful science-themed outings for your budding brainiacs 🙂
Or maybe you’ve got a pint-sized Picasso? Then check out our Guide to Arts & Crafts for some ideas on where to get creative with your kiddos.
Got an animal-lover in your crew? Discover these family-friendly places to meet some new animal friends.
And of course, we can’t forget about our Ultimate Guide to Indoor Play!
Plus, there are still plenty of Easter Activities left to enjoy this season.
Lastly, take a moment to check out our Visit for Free page as some of these activities will be taking place next week. You can also consult this post for more ideas on how to save money on family-friendly outings.
So how’s that for a start? 🙂
Since we’ll be on vacation too, we won’t be posting a new outing next week. But you might see us pop up on Facebook or Instagram occasionally with helpful tips and ideas for keeping your family occupied (and you sane!) for the week ahead. So if you aren’t following our site on these channels, now is a great time to join our more than 8,000 social media followers!
I hope this post helps you plan some fun outings for your family next week. We’d love to know what you’re up to. Drop us a line in the comments section and tell us about your spring break plans!
