We’ve put together a list of some of our favorites but we hope you will share some of your favorites with us as well. Leave a comment here or on our Facebook page to let us know what outings you and your family enjoy during the Easter season.

Lyman Orchards
Spring Apple Hunt
32 Reeds Gap Road, Middlefield, Connecticut
April 21st
Children ages 1-10
$6 per child
Purchase tickets in advance
This is a fun event for the whole family. In years past it was an Easter Apple Hunt and took place the week before Easter but a few years ago they changed it to a Spring Apple Hunt and now hold the event after the Easter holiday. So it is no longer technically an Easter event but for so many families it is an Easter tradition and I like to keep it on our list. My favorite thing about the event is that the kids get to hunt for healthy apples instead of sugary sweets! Plan to come early or stay after your scheduled hunt time and enjoy some food from the Apple Barrel or one of the other vendors on site. Face painting, pony rides, and horse-drawn carriage rides are also available for an additional fee.
