2021 Post:
A few weekends ago, the boys had a birthday party to attend (remember those?! they’re back!) and my husband and I had a rare opportunity to do something special with just Little Miss. So we headed to one of our family’s favorite hangout spots: Jessica’s Garden in Marlborough.
Jessica’s Garden was actually one of my very first posts for this blog waaaaaay back in 2011 when I only had ONE child (boy, have things changed! LOL). And over the years my family has celebrated moments big and small at this unique destination– from Mother’s Days to birthdays to just plain ol’ holiday weekends. And even the arrival of our little lady back in 2017–before I was actually allowed to share pictures of her with all of you!
I figured, if a venue is this important to my crew, it’s probably worth an updated post–I mean, it is 10 years later!
Although the charm of Jessica’s Garden has remained constant, their offerings have actually expanded quite a bit since our early days as patrons. For one thing, their snack shack menu has become increasingly eclectic. And while we still can’t resist their famous lobster rolls, there are many more options for folks that don’t share my obsession with seafood (you can even order online now).
And of course, ice cream!
Lawn decor and playthings have been updated (though some have stood the test of time!), and the fairy garden path has certainly waxed more magical since our early visits!
Looking for fish in the pond.
This tree swing has long been a favorite with all our kids.
Jessica’s Garden is one of those rare and special places we’ve always been able to take our kids of multiple ages for a delicious lunch and some quality family hangout time. Maybe that’s why we’ve kept coming back for over a decade!
I hope I’ve inspired you to start a Jessica’s Garden tradition with your own family too.
