A few years ago, one of my friends showed me a journal page where she kept track of all the books she’d been reading that year. For a second, I wasn’t sure what I was looking at. This was not a regular notebook page. It didn’t have lines or grid marks or anything resembling your average journal. Instead, it was covered corner to corner in a design that looked like the shelves in a library reading room, each one stacked with books. The spine of each book was left blank and on it, my friend was writing in the titles of the books she read. It was the most adorable thing I had seen in a long time and I knew I had to have it! A quick google search later, and I had printed one out for every member of my household.
So when it came time to start tracking our summer vacation plans, I thought I could DIY something similar! And now, I’m sharing it with all of you 🙂
You can download and print your very own copy of my Summer Fun Journal right HERE. Then you can color it in (if you’re into coloring, I’m a little too into coloring right now), list your favorite destinations and start making some summertime memories with your family!
A great place to start for inspiration is our annual Out and About Mom Summer Bucket List for the Connecticut Mom (2024 version HERE). Each year we select 50 outings from our ever-growing roster and compile them into a handy list with links to all our previous posts about these destinations.
We hope this creative planner and our site filled with outing inspiration will help you plan your best summer yet!
