A couple weekends ago it was dismal and rainy. All our normal Saturday sports activities had been cancelled. And I needed to get my three bored kids out of the house and fast. That’s how we ended up at a new-to-us indoor play destination in New Britain: Fun City Trampoline Park.
Have you been?
Even though this place has been around for a few years, I blame Covid for the fact that I had never even heard about it until just recently. Otherwise, we definitely would have been here sooner!
I was able to purchase our tickets and jump socks, and complete waivers ahead of time online (although you can also do all that there). Then I just checked in at the front desk when we arrived.
Admission is sold in time blocks of 60, 90 or 120 minutes. There’s also special toddler pricing at a significant discount, which is nice (no more toddlers for me, however!).
This is so much more than just a trampoline park! There are many other activities as well, such as an enormous indoor playscape, a bi-level ropes course, climbing wall and more.
Although little ones are allowed in just about all areas of the park, there are also a couple areas reserved just for the younger crowd.
There’s also an area with some arcade games. Plus a zip line, a battle beam and dodge ball!
Another nice lounge area for grownups near the birthday party rooms up front.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed, but they do sell a few snack items like chips (at admission counter) and ice cream bars, plus bottled drinks.
No food or beverages are allowed on the trampolines or play structures.
This outing was definitely a hit with all three of my kids (ages 6, 10 & 13) and my husband and I enjoyed the comfy couches (that is, when Little Miss would stay in one place long enough for us to sit!).
After two hours of climbing, bouncing and tumbling, we figured an ice cream treat was in order, so we headed over to nearby Frisbie’s Dairy Barn (also new-to-us). Two new destinations in one day! That’s our kind of multi-tasking š
