Hi everyone!
I am really excited today– and not just because I’m hopped up on all that sugar from Halloween last night 🙂
No, I’m doing a little happy dance today because I’m about to re-introduce you to our very first Out and About Dad!
It’s been a minute–okay, more like 6 years(!)–but our favorite fearless explorer John O’Leary is back on the blog today (and for the foreseeable future! yay!) to fill us in on his adventures with his growing family. If you’ve been hanging out with us for a while, you may remember him from this post waaaaaay back in 2018. Well, after a brief move to Maine, John and his family (now a crew of 5!) are back in town (West Hartford this time) and He’s ready to get back to offering his Dad perspective on all things fun for families in CT.
To kick off his new CT adventures, John visited one of our most beloved locations here on the blog–this may be our 3rd blog post about said destination (you can see our 2018 post here and our 2020 post here if you’re curious to see what’s changed!), but who’s counting? 😉
I’m referring to Hidden Valley Miniature Golf in Southington. One of the reasons we love this place so much is because they are always reinventing themselves– adding new things, changing up the feel, expanding their menu options, etc. Which explains why we never get tired of featuring Hidden Valley on our site!
So today, John is going to give you a quick tour of the new happenings at this old favorite. Enjoy!
With all the great fall weather we have been experiencing lately the air has been just right…for mini golf!! Hidden Valley Miniature Golf is a beautifully landscaped 18-hole mini golf course with food and delicious ice cream, all in the same place. The course is built on a rolling hillside with innovative ‘holes’, humps, and obstacles to dodge. Hidden Valley includes 3 giant koi ponds and 8 beautiful waterfalls. It has the feel of golfing in the countryside.
