Hi friends! Next week is spring break for many of us with school-age kiddos in CT. If you have a fabulous trip planned for your family, then this post isn’t for you– quit reading!! Haha, just kidding 🙂 But seriously, if, like me, you’re staring down a week off with no travel plans in sight, we’ve put together this handy Staycation Guide with enough activities to fill the whole week (and then some!).

Check out an indoor play place (we’re loving this one lately).
Learn while you play at the Connecticut Science Center or the Ecotarium.
Grab a bite to eat al fresco (have you tried this place yet?).
Print this Nature Walk Scavenger Hunt and head out on your favorite trail (we have some suggestions).
Paint some pottery (check out our favorite studios here, here or here).
Day trip to an amusement park or family fun center (read about a few of our favorites: here, here, and here).
Visit a new-to-you playground (we can suggest 50+ choices!).
Indulge in some ice cream (check out our ever-growing list of local favorites).
Check out a new movie at our favorite family-friendly cinema and grab a bite at the nearby (and legendary) Harry’s Place.
Have an animal adventure at Southwick’s Zoo (Opens April 12th).
We hope this list inspires you to get out and about this spring break. If you need more ideas, visit our Places We’ve Been page for 100’s of blog posts about our outings all across Connecticut!
